I brought it and realized that it the same set with different branding and a lower price. This set includes 4 knives Chef’s Knife (8 inch), Bread Knife (8”), Chopper (7”) and Paring Knife. It also includes kitchen Scissors and Vegetable Peeler. SHIVEXIM 6pcs Nonstick Stainless Steel Knife Set’s price varies between 649rs – 699rs depending on the time.
Pros
- Best looking set in my opinion
- The 700rs price is an awesome deal
- Everything was sharp out of the box
- It has a nonstick coating. In addition to that, it has a unique pattern on the side of the knife which again helps to avoid sticking. They call it as “Anti-adhere Groves”
- Even Though the handle of all 4 knives is plastic it has some kind of a rubberized coating which provides additional grip
- Comes in a Beautiful case so it’s my first choice for gifting
- The peeler is ceramic. Ceramic cutting tools have better Edge retention compared to its stainless steel counterparts
Cons
- It’s made of 3cr13 steel. It’s not great steel but considering the price, it’s all good.
- It does not come with a stand or a wooden block but I think that’s ok considering the price. Normally knife sets with a stand or wooden blocks come around the price of 2000rs
- The scissors are a bit small for my hands (I have large hands)
- I wish that 7-inch mini Chopper had a bit more weight.

If you are buying the set for your home this might be even better than our first choice, because that 8-inch slicer knife and 5inch utility knife can come in handy
Pros
- Price is lower than our first pick (it normally sells for 850rs)
- All knives ware reasonably sharp out of the box
- 7 piece set with 6 knives is definitely a value for money deal
- It does have an anti-stick coating on all knives

- The handle is made of plastic but has a good texture to provide a comfortable grip

They don’t provide any other tools like the peeler or scissors but they do offer 5 good knives under just 800rs (Sometimes the price even go down to 750rs). The set includes Bread Knife (8.27 inch), Usuba Knife (7.28 inch), Sashimi Knife (8.27 inch), Fruit Knife(5 inch), Deba Knife(4.72 inch). These are all Japanese style knives that’s why all the names are different. Usuba Knife replaces our chef knife, Sashimi Knife is our slicer and the Deba Knife replaces our mini chopper.

- The normal selling price is very affordable (798rs)
- It’s Japanese style kitchen knives which provide a different feel
- The handle has a different shape than above two and it’s comfortable
- Handles are a little bit longer compared to others which provide enough room for a comfortable grip
- Even though the steel is not specified Edge retention (sharpness retention) is very good.
- All knives ware sharp out of the box
Cons
- Handles looks like wood in the pictures, but it’s plastic. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, as I mentioned earlier it feels good
- The box is not that attractive so may not be a perfect choice for gifts
- There is no proper anti-stick coating on the knives
4. Cartini Godrej Soft Grip Kitchen Knives Set, 3 Pc Set, Stainless Steel (AISI 420J2)
If you don’t use all this wide verity of knives in your kitchen then this set is for you. It only contains 3 knives Kitchen knife (11.6 inch), Salad knife (8.77 inch), Cook’s carving knife (13.38 inch). The price is normally around 750rs but believe me, All 3 of them are quality knives and you won’t regret your purchase. I believe most of the day-to-day cutting jobs in your kitchen can be completed with these 3 knives
Pros
- Decent price compared to the quality of knives
- Cartini Godrej is a reputed player in the Indian knife market so you will get proper support
- AISI 420J2 is a bit better steel than 3cr in terms of both edge retention and corrosion resistance
- All Kitchen knife is a bit longer and heavier than other chief knives in this list that’s a plus if you are using a cutting board
- Cook’s carving knife is a good slicer
- It Doesn’t have an anti-stick coating but the bade surface has a rough pattern which helps to prevent the sticking for an extent
- The major plus to this set is its long soft-grip handle. It’s very comfortable to hold
Cons
- I wish they have included something more to this package like a pair of scissors or a peeler in this set
- It’s only available in a single color
- For some people, length can be an issue if you are not using a cutting board.

- All knives ware sharp out of the box
- 900rs is a decent price for this product

- The handle looks like wood but it’s actually plastic
- There is no ant stick coating on the knives what so ever, that can be a problem
- Quality of Vegetable Peeler is not good, normally at this price others come with a good ceramic peeler

If you are looking for knives with a good storage option this one is for you. It comes with a wall mounting magnetic holding system. As I said earlier it’s hard to find a good knife set with a wooden block in this budget but this can be an alternative to that. Actually, some sets come with wooden stand in 1000rs budget but I am not satisfied with its quality. Here you can simply attach the mound on your kitchen wall with a couple of screws and conveniently store your knives. This one sells for around 899rs and I think that’s a good price because the stand itself cost around 300rs.

- The magnetic wall mount is a huge plus which will help you to organize and store your knives
- The knifes are of decent quality
- These are also Japanese style knives
- Considering the addition of wall mount the price is good
Cons
- There is nonstick coating but it’s not as effective as some of our earlier picks
- Adding a peeler or scissors with this set would have been nice
- The handles are straight and not that comfortable to hold

2. The handling quality feels very cheap compared to the 3 price
With that being said this might be a good choice for people who are not using a cutting board. All of the knives are lightweight and made with same 420 j2 stainless steel
The price is also a good factor for consideration as this 5 piece set sells around 600rs
2. Amazon Brand – Solimo Premium High-Carbon Stainless Steel Kitchen Knife Set
This a 3 piece set from amazon and it’s the amazon choice product in this category. This set includes 3 knives Chef’s knife, Utility knife, and a paring knife. It normally sells for around 700rs and it’s a good knife set for that price. But in my opinion, as a 3 piece set with a similar price it’s a direct competitor to Cartini Godrej Soft Grip Kitchen Knives 3 Pc Set. I think Cartini Godrej will be a better purchase especially due that comfortable soft-grip handle
